The concept of "Remote (distant) work" is added to the Labor Code.
Modern.az reports that this issue is reflected in the amendment to the Labor Code, which was discussed at today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis.
The document emphasizes that, as a priority direction, to determine the formation of legislation in the field of employees performing their labor functions in a remote work format, and to ensure the creation of a legal basis for employees to perform their labor functions in a remote work format in this regard, the concept of "Remote (distant) work" has been introduced into Article 3 of the Code.
It was noted that the Labor Code also applies to employees who perform their labor functions at home, as well as in a remote (distant) work format, using the employer's raw materials (materials) and means of production.
After discussions, the amendment was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
