Parliamentary elections are being held in Sweden.
Modern.az reports that, according to Reuters, the center-left opposition led by Magdalena Andersson maintains a slight advantage over the right-wing bloc led by Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. However, the difference between the parties has narrowed in recent weeks.
One of the main points of interest in the elections may be the participation of the far-right “Sweden Democrats” party in the government. If the right-wing bloc wins, the parties have agreed to form a four-party government under Kristersson's leadership.
The outcome of the elections will also depend on whether the “Liberals” cross the 4 percent election barrier.
Both blocs advocate for supporting Ukraine and strengthening defense. However, the parties have different positions on issues such as migration, social spending, taxes, and the construction of new nuclear reactors.
