Changes will be made to the rules regarding the payment periods of wages.
Modern.az reports that this issue is reflected in the amendment to the Labor Code discussed at today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis.
According to current legislation, monthly wages must generally be paid to employees twice a month, divided into two parts (as an advance and the remaining amount), with an interval not exceeding sixteen days.
For employees whose wages are calculated for an annual period, payment must be made at least once a month.
According to the draft, wages must be paid to employees at least once a month.
By mutual agreement of the parties, monthly wages may be paid twice a month, divided into two parts (as an advance and the remaining amount), with an interval not exceeding sixteen days.
After discussions, the amendment was put to a vote and adopted in its third reading.
