Filming of the movie “Armour of God IV: Ultimatum” starring the famous actor Jackie Chan is also taking place in Baku.
Modern.az reports that the filming of the Chinese-Kazakh adventure film began in Kazakhstan in July 2026. Since the beginning of August, some scenes of the film have been shot in Baku.
For filming in Baku, locations such as Icherisheher, Highland Park, Baku Funicular, Green Theater and Fountains Square are used.
In the film, Jackie Chan plays the famous character “Asian Hawk”. According to the plot, the treasure hunter is involved in a dangerous mission. He sets out in search of an ancient artifact called “Tumar”, promised a reward of 20 million dollars.
The director of the film is Robert Kundur, a Kazakh action scene director. In addition to Kazakh actors and stuntmen, Jackie Chan's stunt team was also involved in the filming of the screen adaptation.
According to information, filming in Baku is planned to last approximately 10 days and end on August 15.
“Armour of God IV: Ultimatum” is scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2027.
The film is produced by Hong Kong's Billion Target and Kazakhstan's Salem Entertainment studios.
