As a result of phased and coordinated measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on October 6, 13 citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan (6 women, 7 children) were repatriated from the Syrian Arab Republic to our country.

Modern.az reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan issued a statement about this.

It was noted that, first of all, the location, identity and citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan of the repatriates were determined.

Members of the Working Group consisting of state institutions responsible for the repatriation of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan facing a crisis situation in foreign countries were seconded to Syria, and the initial medical and psychological examination of the repatriates was ensured.

Later, through the relevant coordination work carried out by the Embassies of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Turkey, as well as the Consulate General in Istanbul, our citizens were provided with certificates of return to the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as plane tickets, and brought to the country.

It is planned to implement appropriate measures for the social rehabilitation and reintegration of repatriates into society.

It was stated that the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan will continue to take necessary measures for the repatriation of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who have become victims of armed conflict in the territory of foreign countries.
