A number of international observation missions, including the OSCE PA, PACE, CIS PA, and the European Parliament, will monitor the parliamentary elections to be held in Armenia on June 7.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by the Vice-Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Hakob Arshakyan, during his speech at the meeting of the Council of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly in St. Petersburg.
According to him, the elections will be held under the observation of the CIS PA, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie, and the European Parliament.
Arshakyan stated that the long-term observation mission of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly has already been operating in Armenia. He noted that the main delegation of the organization will visit Yerevan on June 4-8.
The Vice-Speaker added that the pre-election mission of PACE also operated in Armenia in May.
