Daily passenger rail connection between Azerbaijan and Georgia will resume after a 6-year break.
Modern.az reports that the Georgian government administration has released information about this.
It was stated that starting from May 26, the daily passenger train in the Baku-Tbilisi direction will resume operation.
It was noted that the decision was announced after the meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

At the end of the talks, the protocol of the bilateral coordination council was signed. The document also envisages the full commissioning of the new section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. However, the date of commissioning of the project has not been separately announced.
