"I think that the events of 2020 were naturally accompanied by emotions, and this is completely understandable."

Modern.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this in a conversation with journalists.

Answering a question about his personal feelings during the 44-day war, Pashinyan said:

"Probably, for the first time in my conscious life after November 8, 2020, I stopped praying daily. After that, I fasted for a long time. For a week, I neither ate bread nor drank water. If you ask about my emotions - they were exactly like that. But then I started thinking about what happened and the reasons for it. And of course, not immediately, but later I realized that Armenia was trapped because of the Karabakh movement and it was necessary to get out of this trap."

Pashinyan emphasized that he is happy and proud that he was able to get Armenia out of this trap.

"Emotions are already related to another issue - I see that today some specific individuals, with the logic of espionage, want to return Armenia to the conflict trap. That's the story. I wonder - is there really a person for whom these topics are not emotional? If there is such a person... I wouldn't be surprised if it's someone like Robert Kocharyan, who has no emotions. I think that emotions will gradually be restored in prison.

Yes, I am an emotional person - is this news to you? Wasn't I emotional when I was an opposition MP and a journalist? A person without emotions is either wood or a brick. Unfortunately, we see such blunt tools used by various forces in the political arena," the prime minister said.
