The United States has approved the possible sale of equipment and services worth $108.1 million to Ukraine to ensure the operation of "HAWK" anti-aircraft missile systems.
Modern.az reports that information about this was published on the official website of the US State Department.
The document notes that the Kyiv leadership applied for spare parts and components for the aforementioned anti-aircraft missile systems, support for their modernization and technical inspection, as well as repair and return services for the equipment.
"Sierra Nevada Corporation" will act as the main contractor for the project. The statement emphasizes that this agreement is fully in line with US national interests and will not affect the balance of power in the region.
In addition, the State Department believes that this agreement will not have any negative impact on the combat readiness of the US armed forces.
