A gas explosion occurred in a coal mine in Changzhi city, Shanxi province, northern China. As a result of the incident, eight people died and 38 people remained underground.
Modern.az reports with reference to "Xinhua" agency that the incident was recorded on Friday at 7:29 local time in Liushenyu mine in Jinyuan district. A total of 247 workers were underground during the accident.
As a result of the operational measures, 201 people were brought to the surface of the water (ground). Rescue operations are currently continuing at the scene.
