Only a few days remain until the start of the spring examination session of the 2025/2026 academic year in higher education institutions in Azerbaijan. With the approaching summer examination session, interest among university students regarding the start and end dates of exams has increased. In particular, the announcement of exam schedules in some universities shortly before the session further increases students' attention to this issue.
Modern.az, taking into account the topicality of the issue, conducted a survey among a number of higher education institutions regarding the dates when the spring examination session will begin.
In response to our inquiry from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, it was stated that the spring examination session will start on June 1 and will continue until the end of the month.
According to information from the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), the examination session in this higher education institution is organized differently from other universities. The examination session of the spring semester has already concluded. From June, students will go for industrial practice. It was noted that internship programs are of great importance for students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real work environment, gain professional skills, and acquire industry experience. In total, 2082 students participate in the examination process.
From the Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU), it was stated that the examination session for bachelor's and master's degrees will start on June 1. The examination session will continue until July 2, 2026, for all courses except graduating courses. The period for final assessment in graduating courses is scheduled to be held until July 8. Also, after the examination session ends on July 2, repeat exams are planned for July 7-9 for students who did not participate in the exam due to a valid reason or who have a credit debt. According to the information, 7541 students are expected to participate in the examination process.
From the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), it was stated that the examination session of the spring semester will start on June 1, 2026, and will last for 5 weeks.
According to information from the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU), the examination session will start on June 1 and end on July 3. 25 percent of the exams are planned to be held in August.
From the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AUAC), it was stated that the spring examination session of the 2025/2026 academic year will start on June 1 and continue until July 3. Exams will be organized in written, test, and traditional methods for subjects requiring aptitude.
At the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (ASUCA), the examination session will be held from June 1 to July 3. Approximately 2441 bachelor's, 304 master's, and 45 SABAH group students are expected to participate in the session.
From Lankaran State University (LSU), it was stated that the examination session will be held from June 2 to July 2. According to the curriculum, students who have listened to subjects in all specialties and subgroups will participate in the exams. At the university, students choose their exam date, day, and time electronically and have the opportunity to make changes until the exam time. For this reason, the exact number of students who will participate in the session has not yet been determined. It was noted that a total of about 7,000 students study at the university.
