Kılıçdaroğlu's press advisor Atakan Sönmez stated to the press that with the court decision, the former leader has already started to perform his duties.
“Wherever the Chairman of the CHP is, the General Headquarters is there. Of course, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu will also go to the general center. As of the moment the court decision was given, the chairman's powers began to be exercised yesterday. Kılıçdaroğlu has already started to perform his duties,” Sönmez emphasized.
According to other information received by Modern.az, CHP leader Özgür Özel and his team are preparing to create a new political organization. It is stated that the name of the new entity will be “Independence Party”.
Political observers believe that this step will cause a deep split in the CHP. Deputies within the party are also expected to be divided into two camps.
It should be noted that in recent months, the leadership crisis and internal conflicts in the CHP have further intensified. The creation of a new party is considered an important event that could change the political balance in the Turkish opposition.
