An armed attack occurred at a school affiliated with a university in Zamboanga City, southern Philippines.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that the incident took place this morning on the premises of Ateneo de Zamboanga University.
According to official information from the police and city administration, 2 people died as a result of the armed attack. One of the deceased was a high school student, and the other was the perpetrator of the attack. The attacker later committed suicide.
It is reported that 2 more people were injured during the incident.
According to information, the attacker managed to bring a firearm into the educational institution. He then started firing on the upper floors of the building.
It was also reported that the attacker partially broadcast what happened on social networks.
After the shootout, the armed man killed himself.
