Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei has ordered an immediate and decisive response to any new aggression against the country, without geographical restrictions.
Modern.az reports, citing IRNA, that he gave this instruction during a meeting with high-ranking commanders of the Armed Forces.
Khamenei called high combat readiness the main condition for maximum deterrence. He stated that if military or terrorist attacks against Iran resume, the Iranian Armed Forces and people will determine when and under what conditions they will end.
During the meeting, instructions were given to strengthen the military intelligence system, develop local defense capabilities, and increase security potential using new technologies.
Iran's Supreme Leader also ordered a complete update of the military targets database. He requested that all tangible and intangible assets belonging to the US and Israel be included in the sphere of influence of the Iranian Armed Forces.
Khamenei called popular support for the army one of the main pillars of deterrence. He stated that the coordinated activities of the “resistance front” forces in various countries play an important role in the formation of the region's new political and security system.
During the meeting, commanders of the Iranian army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported on combat readiness along the Persian Gulf coast, the Strait of Hormuz, the Gulf of Oman, as well as the country's northwest and southeast borders.
The commanders also stated that the production of main types of ammunition, intelligence, supply, and combat equipment has increased several times.
