The Russian side has detected substandard alcoholic products imported from Armenia and banned their sale.

Modern.az reports with reference to the Russian media that "Rospotrebnadzor" (Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) has registered serious violations in the products of Armenian companies "Vedi-alco", "Abovyan Brandy Factory" and "Shahnazaryan Wine-Brandy House". Among the banned products are "Getap Vernashen" wine, as well as "Armenian Cognac 5 Stars" and "Shahnazaryan XO" brandy brands.

It should be recalled that earlier "Rospotrebnadzor" stopped the import of Armenia's famous "Jermuk" mineral water into Russia. Another control p - "Rosselkhoznadzor" - has imposed restrictions on the import of flowers from Armenia since May 22. In addition, similar problems are being experienced between the two countries regarding fruits and vegetables imported from Armenia.
