The operations of almost all oil refineries in Central Russia have been disrupted due to drone attacks.
Modern.az reports that “Reuters” agency has disseminated this information.
According to the information, as a result of attacks by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, most of the large oil refineries located in the central part of Russia have been forced to either stop or reduce production.
In recent weeks, the oil refinery in Kirishi, Leningrad Oblast, the Moscow Oil Refinery, as well as facilities in Nizhny Novgorod, Ryazan, and Yaroslavl have been subjected to drone attacks.
It is reported that in some cases, the attacks caused serious damage, while in others, the damage was relatively minor, but the operations of all the mentioned plants were disrupted.
“Reuters” notes that these facilities account for approximately one-quarter of Russia's total oil refining capacity.
Although the agency did not provide a forecast regarding the impact of the full or partial shutdown of oil refineries in Central Russia on the fuel market, it reminded that Russia has already imposed a ban on gasoline exports.
