Billionaire Mikhail Smirnov died in a motorcycle accident in the Leningrad region.

Modern.az reports with reference to Russian media that the accident happened on May 20. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the motorcyclist lost control, drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a Haval car there.

Mikhail Smirnov is associated with the Baltic Fuel Company business group, which unites several companies (including Neva Oil LLC).
