The next round of talks between the US and Iran on resolving the conflict may be held in early June.

Modern.az reports that Al Arabiya TV channel spread this information, citing its sources.

According to the information, the meeting may be held in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, after the end of the Hajj season. In 2026, the main Hajj ceremonies fall on May 25-29. Sources also state that work is currently underway on the final version of the agreement between Washington and Tehran.

In addition, it is noted that Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir may visit Iran this coming Friday to present the "final agreement option."

The US and Israel began military operations against Iran on February 28. Later, on April 7, US President Donald Trump announced a two-week mutual ceasefire. On April 11, US and Iranian representatives held talks in Islamabad, but no agreement was reached on a long-term settlement.

On April 21, Trump extended the ceasefire and stated his intention to give diplomacy an additional chance. After that, no new round of talks took place. On May 19, he also noted that the US was ready to continue diplomatic efforts until the beginning of next week and postponed the possible resumption of military operations.
