A new public opinion poll conducted before the 2026 parliamentary elections in Armenia shows that the political landscape in the country is beginning to change.

Modern.az reports that the results of the third stage of the voter behavior study conducted by EVN Report and Armenian Election Study (ArmES) have been announced.

According to the poll results, support for the activities of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan continues to increase. While the number of those who supported the Prime Minister's activities was 36% in the first poll, it increased to 47.2% in the second stage, and to 49% in the final results. At the same time, the number of those dissatisfied with his activities also decreased. This indicator was 45% in the first poll, 35.8% in the second stage, and 33.7% in the current poll.

The poll also shows that views on the future direction of the country are changing in Armenian society. 44% of respondents believe that Armenia is developing in the right direction. This indicator shows an increase compared to previous stages. Currently, the share of those who think that the country is going in the wrong direction is 30.9%.

According to the study, the ruling “Civil Contract” Party significantly outperforms its main rivals in the election race. However, the party is not yet able to secure the majority of votes needed to form a government alone in parliament.

Based on the voting intentions of the poll participants:

-"Civil Contract” Party — 32.5%;

-“Strong Armenia” Party — 10.1%;

-“Armenia Alliance” — 4.4%;

-“Prosperous Armenia” Party — has 3.4% support.

One of the most striking aspects of the poll is the high proportion of undecided voters. Currently, 39.5% of the electorate has not decided which political force to vote for. The authors of the study believe that this group of voters will seriously affect the final result of the 2026 parliamentary elections.

It is noted that public opinion regarding economic indicators and security issues has also changed in a positive direction. 41.7% of respondents stated that the Armenian economy has improved compared to last year. In addition, 53.8% believe that the country's security situation has improved in the last year.

The poll also measured attitudes towards the Pashinyan government's policy regarding the regional tension around Iran. 42.8% of respondents stated that they support the government's position on this issue.

The study was conducted between April 1 and May 2, 2026, based on a telephone survey. 925 people participated in the survey, and the margin of error is 3%.
