The fifth day of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku is starting.
Modern.az reports that the forum will continue its work with discussions today.
During the day, discussions will be held on topics such as "Development of Azerbaijan's first national sustainability standard: Standard of sustainable practices", "The central role of housing in crisis recovery and reconstruction processes", "New agreement on housing finance", "Capacity building for climate-resilient nature-based solutions (NbS) projects for cities" and others.
It should be noted that the official opening ceremony of the forum, which started on May 17, was held on May 18, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev spoke at the ceremony.
We would like to add that WUF13 is organized jointly by the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and the Government of Azerbaijan.
The forum, dedicated to the theme "Habitats for all: Safe and sustainable cities and human settlements", will continue until May 22.
