Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has appeared in a video broadcast on local media for the first time after five months.
Modern.az reports that in the footage released by “Mehr” agency, the leader of the Islamic Republic is seen, presumably, giving a religious lesson for students. However, it is not known when the video was filmed.
Mojtaba Khamenei was wounded in early March on the first day of Israeli and US attacks on Iran. During that attack, his father — the previous Supreme Leader of the republic — was killed.
According to the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the condition of the injured person was assessed as satisfactory.
Previously, “The New York Times” newspaper reported that Khamenei had not appeared in public or released a video until now due to his injuries and security threats.
