In Turkey, within the scope of the corruption investigation against Eyüpsultan Municipality, 28 suspects, including Mayor Mithat Bülent Özmen, have been detained.
Modern.az reports with reference to "TRT Haber" that simultaneous operations were carried out within the framework of the investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
The suspects are accused of "being a member of a criminal organization", "taking bribes", "giving bribes" and "illegally interfering with a tender". 23 of them are civil servants.
All 28 people for whom an arrest warrant was issued have been detained. Within the scope of the investigation, the administrative building of Eyüpsultan Municipality was also searched.
