50-year-old Farid Nasirov (conditional name) punched his brother Samid (conditional name) in the face at their home, causing injury. Based on the victim's complaint, Farid was detained and a criminal case was opened against him.
According to the accused, his brother Samid came and told his mother about the death of their uncle and asked for money. Angered by this, he squeezed his brother's throat. He stated that Samid also hit him.
The victim, Samid Nasirov, said that his aunt's daughter received his mother's pension, and he came home to get money for his uncle's funeral. According to him, his mother told him to inform his aunt's daughter to get money for the funeral. When he came to tell his mother his aunt's daughter's answer, his brother Farid woke up and argued, saying that they did not let him sleep. According to Samid, Farid hit him and knocked him to the ground. Then he kicked him several times. Neighbors came to the sound of his mother and separated them.
Samid Nasirov said that he did not reconcile with his brother and asked for an appropriate punishment for his actions.
By court decision, Farid Nasirov was sentenced to a fine of 1000 manats. (lent.az)
