Armenia and Azerbaijan are still discussing the details of opening transport communications, including the terms of mutual use of routes.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Sarkis Khandanyan, a deputy from the ruling “Civil Contract” faction in the Armenian parliament and a candidate for the position of chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee.
The issue was raised by Anna Grigoryan, the head of the “Armenia” faction. She asked which roads Armenia could use on the territory of Azerbaijan under what conditions when using the TRIPP route.
According to Khandanyan, issues related to the principle of reciprocity are still under discussion. These may include customs duties and other payments.
“Armenia and Azerbaijan will finally agree on these issues at the stage of project implementation, when transport communication begins,” the deputy said.
