Andranik Tevanyan, leader of Armenia's opposition party "Mother Armenia", criticized Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, calling the criminal case against him political persecution.
Modern.az reports that Tevanyan claimed that his contacts with Russian politicians and experts were presented as espionage.
"In the history of independent Armenia, there has been no case where contacts with Russian political and expert circles were considered espionage in favor of an enemy state. I am accused of exactly this. In Ukraine, relations with Russia are considered espionage and treason. Now Pashinyan is doing the same," the oppositionist said.
Tevanyan said that based on this comparison, Pashinyan has become the "Armenian Zelensky". His position on the accusations against him is as follows; information about the final court decision on the criminal case has not been provided.
