Dutch companies want to explore business opportunities in Azerbaijan
Modern.az reports that this was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Tom Berendsen, at a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
He noted that the Netherlands sees great opportunities for further expanding economic cooperation with Azerbaijan.
According to the minister, Dutch companies with experience in ports, transport and logistics, agriculture and water resource management are interested in cooperating with Azerbaijan and exploring business opportunities in the country.
T. Berendsen emphasized that a stable and predictable business environment where the rule of law and respect for rights are ensured is important to increase the confidence of potential investors.
He also thanked Azerbaijan for the support provided to Dutch diplomats in Tehran amid rising tensions in Iran earlier this year. He stated that the diplomats found refuge in Baku until they could safely return to Tehran.
The minister expressed hope that cooperation with Azerbaijan will be further developed in the future and noted that he would be pleased to invite Jeyhun Bayramov to visit The Hague.
