The property of persons who have left Russia may be confiscated.
Modern.az reports that the Russian State Duma has adopted a law allowing the seizure of property of citizens who have left the country for administrative violations “directed against Russia's interests.”
According to the law, cases such as “dissemination of discrediting information” about the army, calls for sanctions against Russia, promotion of Nazi symbols, illegal acquisition of information, abuse of media freedom, and dissemination of extremist materials will be considered violations.
According to the new rules, the property of these persons in Russia may be confiscated or seized by court order. It is reported that the law will also apply to Russian citizens who have left the country and live abroad.
