Russian President Vladimir Putin will leave for India on the evening of September 10.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov during a briefing.
"The president continues his preparations for the upcoming Delhi BRICS summit and will fly there this evening," Peskov said.
Putin's visit will take place on the eve of the BRICS summit. Chinese President Xi Jinping will also visit India to attend the meeting on September 12-13.
The Kremlin previously stated that Putin will hold a bilateral meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi within the framework of the BRICS summit.
