Russia will continue to strike ships in the Black Sea that it claims are carrying military cargo for the Ukrainian army.

Modern.az reports that this was stated by Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.

According to him, a large number of commercial vessels are used to transport weapons, ammunition, and fuel for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“These ships are being destroyed and will continue to be destroyed,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

Peskov noted that these steps will not affect Russia-Turkey relations. He claimed that Moscow was not the initiator of the strikes in the Black Sea.

It should be recalled that on September 9, two Azerbaijani sailors – Aslan Aliyev and Asim Gasimov – on the tugboat “TEDY”, which was subjected to a drone attack in the Black Sea, died. Two more Azerbaijani citizens were injured.

Peskov's statement did not mention the attack on the “TEDY” ship and did not directly link it to that incident.
