Petrol and diesel fuel have become more expensive in Armenia again, practically setting a new historical record.
Modern.az reports with reference to local media that 1 liter of AI-92 brand gasoline is already sold at an average of 600 drams (1.66 dollars) at gas stations in the Armenian capital. Previously, this price was 580 drams.
The price of "Premium" brand gasoline increased by another 20-30 drams to 620-630 drams. The same amount of increase was recorded in the price of diesel fuel. Currently, 1 liter of diesel is sold for 710 drams. This means that a new historical record has been practically recorded in the price of fuel in Armenia.
The interesting point is that at the beginning of 2026, petrol and diesel fuel were also supplied from Azerbaijan to Armenia. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan said in February that increasing the supply of cheaper Azerbaijani gasoline could help stabilize prices in the domestic market.
