The situation regarding a potential US attack on Iran will be discussed at the Turkish Cabinet meeting to be held on Monday under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Modern.az reports that a diplomatic source in Turkey informed RIA Novosti about this.

"At the Cabinet meeting, US threats of attack on Iran, as well as recent developments in the region, will be discussed. Turkey's position of opposing military intervention and supporting diplomacy and dialogue will be reiterated."

In this context, the ministers will review the results of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi's recent visit to Istanbul over the weekend, his meetings with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and the Turkish President, as well as Erdoğan's telephone conversations with the US and Iranian presidents.

Earlier, "Axios" reported, citing sources, that Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar are working to organize a meeting between US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff and high-ranking Iranian officials in Ankara next week. A source in the Turkish capital told RIA Novosti that the Turkish side does not have concrete information regarding preparations for a possible meeting between Witkoff and Iranian representatives in Ankara.
