A 19-year-old Afghan national will appear in court in France on charges of sexual violence against animals.
Modern.az reports with reference to foreign media that, according to investigative materials, at least 6 sheep and goats suffered from his actions. Some animals are reported to have been subjected to violence multiple times.
The suspect was detained in the town of Le-Pen-Mirabo, near the city of Marseille. According to “Maritima” radio, he was caught red-handed at a training farm intended for the rehabilitation of neglected animals.
It is reported that the first incidents were recorded in February. Farm director Cassandra Sortino commented on what happened:
“We were in shock. We never thought that someone would treat animals like that. A young sheep was attacked three times. In one episode, the injuries were so severe that we thought we would lose her.”
After the incident, video cameras were installed in the area, transmitting images in real time. It was through these cameras that the suspect was caught committing the crime again.
