Despite the shooting at a reception for journalists in Washington, King Charles III's state visit to the United States will proceed as planned.
Modern.az reports that a representative of Buckingham Palace stated this.
"Following discussions on both sides of the Atlantic throughout the day and with government advice, we can confirm that Their Majesties' State Visit will proceed as planned," he said.
It should be noted that Charles III will pay a state visit to the United States from April 27 to 30. He is expected to address Congress and be received by US President Donald Trump at the White House.
