The tuition fees of children of those killed during demining will be paid from the state budget.
Modern.az reports that the issue was reflected in the proposed amendment to the “Law on Education” discussed at today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis.
Thus, the tuition fees of children of deminers who died while carrying out demining activities will be paid from the state budget during their education (excluding additional education) on a paid basis in educational institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan, regardless of the form of ownership.
According to the transitional provisions of this Draft Law, the changes, which are intended to be applied from September 15, 2026, also apply to the children (up to a maximum of 23 years of age) of deminers who died while carrying out demining activities or lost their lives due to injuries sustained during this period until the date this Law enters into force.
The issue was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
