The Office of the President of Iran has released an initial list of names of those who died during the recent protests.
Modern.az reports that this list was published by order of President Masoud Pezeshkian.
The released list includes the names of 2985 people. However, the official death toll is 3117.
The information states that the list was compiled by forensic experts and consists of names reconciled with the civil status registration system.
Iranian authorities have reported that 3117 people died during the protests - 2427 civilians and security personnel, as well as 690 "terrorists".
The statement from the Office of the President says that clarifications are being made regarding the names of 131 individuals.
