We aim to eliminate the long-standing queue problem in public medical institutions by the end of the year.

Modern.az reports that Bahadur Rzayev, Deputy Executive Director of TABIB, stated this within the framework of an open dialogue meeting with representatives of media subjects in an informal environment.

He noted that the online queuing system is currently being expanded in stages, and from next week, this system will be implemented in 6 medical institutions.

According to the Deputy Executive Director, thanks to the system, if a citizen cannot find a queue for a suitable doctor in the medical institution they choose, they will also be able to get an online queue for doctors of the same specialty in other public hospitals:

“The goal is to use existing resources more efficiently and to facilitate citizens' access to services.

The number of patients each doctor can admit per day is limited, and it is important for citizens to understand this issue.”

He noted that citizens should not express dissatisfaction just because there is no queue for one doctor:

“If the same service is available in alternative medical institutions, it is possible to contact those doctors. For this, employees who help citizens operate in all institutions where the electronic queue is applied.”

The Deputy Executive Director also called on citizens to cancel queues they will not use in a timely manner:

“According to statistics, only 58 percent of citizens who take an online queue in some medical institutions come for a doctor's appointment. Approximately 42 percent do not use their queue. This leads to inefficient use of the doctor's working time and limits the access of other citizens to services. If you are not coming, cancel the queue so that another citizen can benefit from that time.”

B. Rzayev also added that the public procurement process has already been announced and by the end of the year, the online queuing system will be more widely implemented across the country:

“We believe that citizens will come to the medical institution by taking an exact time in advance, will not wait in long queues, and will have easier access to services. Public awareness is also of great importance for the success of this system,” he noted.
