On the night of June 27, the Ukrainian Defense Forces lost contact with a MiG-29 fighter jet.
Modern.az reports that the Ukrainian Air Force issued a statement about this.
It was reported that contact with the aircraft was lost while the pilot was performing a combat mission in the skies of Poltava region. The causes of the aircraft crash and the circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated.
"We confirm the loss of the aircraft. However, the Ukrainian pilot successfully ejected, contacted the search and rescue team, and was promptly delivered to a medical facility for examination and necessary medical assistance," the Air Force statement said.
