Modern.az reports, citing BFM TV, that most of the deceased are teenagers and young people who lost their lives while swimming in unsupervised waters.
A "red heat" warning has been declared in 61 regions of France, and an "orange" warning in another 25 regions.
It has been reported that 46,000 families were left without electricity due to problems in the power grids caused by the hot weather conditions.
