After the next matches of the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, several pairs of the 1/16 final stage of the tournament have been determined.
Modern.az reports that all matches in groups A, B, C, D, E, F, I, H, G have been completed. As a result, 20 of the 32 teams that will play in the “play-offs” have already been determined.
The national teams of Mexico, USA, Germany, Argentina, France, Norway, Colombia, Switzerland, Brazil, Canada, Morocco, South Africa, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ivory Coast, Ecuador, Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Australia, Paraguay, Belgium, Egypt, Spain, Cape Verde, Senegal have qualified for the “play-offs”.

The Senegal national team has secured a place in the play-off stage of the 2026 World Cup. The opponent of the Senegal national team in the 1/16 finals will be determined later.
In addition, the winner of Group H, the Spain national team, will play against the runner-up of Group J in the 1/16 finals. That team will be either Austria or Algeria.
The 2026 World Cup is co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The group stage will conclude on June 28, after which the teams will continue their struggle in the play-off stage.
