The "New Power" Party, led by former Yerevan mayor Hayk Marutyan, has ceased its participation in the Constitutional Court sessions regarding the appeal of the parliamentary election results.

Modern.az reports that a representative of the party made a statement about this.

It was stated that the party presented facts to the court regarding alleged violations of the law during the elections.

According to the party representative, the fact that the number of invalid ballots in the elections reached 17,000 indicates the possibility of interference with the will of the voters. It was noted that in the parliamentary elections held in 2018 and 2021, the number of invalid ballots did not exceed 5,000.

The "New Power" Party believes that after presenting its position to the Constitutional Court, there is no point in continuing its participation in the process. For this reason, the party decided to stop participating in the court sessions.
