Armenians have been engaged in criminal activities against Azerbaijan for 600 years.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Aziz Alakbarli, a member of the Milli Majlis and chairman of the Western Azerbaijan Community, during his speech at the event dedicated to World Refugee Day, titled "Return to Western Azerbaijan: Restoration of Historical Justice and Human Rights".
"Western Azerbaijan refugees were expelled from their native homes in the early days of the Karabakh conflict – in 1987-1991 – and as an integral part of this conflict, and unfortunately, international powers, who speak of international law and human rights when it suits them, have not only failed to condemn Armenia as an occupying state to this day, but on the contrary, have provided it with free weapons and ammunition, and continue to do so today. However, the crimes of Armenians against our people are not limited to the last deportation and ethnic cleansing alone. The number of crimes committed by Armenia and Armenians against our people is countless and dates back centuries. It is enough to recall such a point that Armenia's criminal first president Ter-Petrosyan recently admitted in a video from 1993 that Armenians have been engaged in criminal activities against Azerbaijan for 600 years. And by brutally expelling Azerbaijanis who historically lived in Western Azerbaijan from this geography, they achieved their dirty intentions - to de-Turkify and de-Muslimize the territory of present-day Armenia, and to turn it into a mono-ethnic state".
A. Alakbarli added that Armenians forget that Azerbaijanis have always protected their homeland's trust:
"However, Armenians forget one thing: although Azerbaijanis, including our compatriots in Western Azerbaijan, have been expelled from their ancestral lands many times, they have always returned and protected the homeland's trust of their ancestors. We witnessed this once again during the 44-day Patriotic War and the 1-day anti-terror operation".
