New statistics regarding the Azerbaijani car market have been shared.
Modern.az reports that, according to the page's information, 113,840 passenger cars were imported into the country last year.
The most imported car was the Chinese brand “BYD”. Specifically, 10,186 “BYD” vehicles were brought into the country last year. This figure represents a 632 percent increase compared to 2024. For comparison, it should be noted that only 1,392 “BYD” units were imported into Azerbaijan in 2024.
Last year, the most imported car brand into the country also belonged to China. Specifically, 9,509 units of the “Changan UNI Z” brand car were imported into the country in 2025. This represents a 100% increase compared to 2024.
Other models belonging to the “Changan” company also showed significant growth:
-“Nevo A05” - 6,803 units (613% increase)
-“Nevo Q07”- 5,094 units (100% increase)
-“Nevo Q05”- 3,250 units (355% increase)
-“Changan CS55”- 2,495 units (100% increase)
In addition, the names and numbers of car brands whose imports to Azerbaijan decreased last year have also been announced. Specifically, last year 2773 Hyundai (-7%), 1609 Chevrolet Cobalt (-57.4%), 1037 Li Auto (-15%) and 879 KIA (-8%) branded cars were brought in. This is somewhat less than the figures for 2024.
