In the first nine months of this year, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia increased by 42 percent, approaching 1 billion US dollars.
Modern.az reports that this was stated at the 11th meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
It was noted that the nine-month trade turnover has already exceeded last year's total figure. It was emphasized that Georgia is one of Azerbaijan's main trade partners.
At the meeting, it was also brought to attention that Azerbaijan is one of the countries that invests the most in the Georgian economy. The opening of a new hotel project implemented by an Azerbaijani investor in Tbilisi was evaluated as an example of investment cooperation.
