US Border Patrol chief Michael Banks has resigned.

Modern.az reports that "Fox News" spread information about this.

The reason for the resignation is not disclosed.

It should be noted that President Donald Trump has increased arrests of illegal immigrants in the US and prevented border crossings.

Trump has revoked the status of hundreds of thousands of immigrants since taking office in 2025.
