The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan has adopted a decision on some issues related to the entry and exit of passengers to and from the Republic of Azerbaijan by railway transport in connection with the launch of the Baku-Tbilisi-Baku train.
Modern.az reports that, according to the decision signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov, from May 25, 2026, at 00:00, citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan and citizens of all foreign countries with the right to visa-free entry to Azerbaijan will be allowed to enter and exit between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Georgia by railway transport.
The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Customs Committee, the State Border Service, the State Migration Service and "Azerbaijan Railways" Closed Joint-Stock Company must resolve the issues arising from this Decision in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.
