In Turkey, by court order, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel will pay compensation to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Modern.az reports with reference to local media that the party chairman will pay 300 thousand liras in compensation to Erdoğan within the framework of a moral compensation claim for the expressions he used.
Details were announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's lawyer Hüseyin Aydın. He stated that a lawsuit was filed against CHP Chairman Özgür Özel for the expressions he used against President Erdoğan in his speech at the CHP Headquarters on July 5, 2025.
Lawyer Hüseyin Aydın noted in his social media post that the court decided that Özgür Özel should pay 300 thousand liras in moral compensation for these expressions.
