The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), together with the WUF13 Operating Company, organized 9 HUBs and 2 final destinations, as well as more than 67 intermediate points within the framework of the WUF13 forum.
According to information provided by AYNA to Modern.az, 6 routes are operating to transport event participants from Heydar Aliyev International Airport to designated points, and 12 routes are operating to transport them from these points to the forum venue on event days. Transportation is mainly carried out by electric buses. The management of these lines and the execution of transport operations are monitored 24/7 by AYNA's monitoring center. Approximately 1500 personnel, including drivers and management, have been involved in these processes for the implementation of transport operations.
Through the “Ayna MaaS” application, it is possible to plan trips on both event routes and public transport routes. In connection with WUF13, the possibility of payment in public transport with foreign bank cards, as well as functionality for event routes in the “Ayna MaaS” application, has been created.
In connection with WUF13, a special traffic lane with a total length of 41.5 km was organized on 6 streets and avenues, and new road signs were installed. Horizontal marking lines were restored on 34 streets and avenues (total 170 km), and lines were restored on the newly laid asphalt pavement on 19 streets and avenues (more than 20 km).
The length of micromobility lanes organized in the city area has been increased to 63.2 km. These lanes organized on the city's streets and avenues connect the attraction points.
Parking spaces for small electric vehicles have been optimized, and operators are active at these points. Appropriate conditions have been created for WUF13 guests to travel comfortably for short distances. The scooter park has been updated, and the possibility of registration from foreign mobile numbers for their rental has been created. At the same time, in connection with WUF13, the patrol system has been switched to an enhanced work regime.
150 “Baku Taxi” service vehicles and 330 other vehicles partnered by taxi order operators for airport transportation have been involved in the transportation related to the event, drivers have been trained on special preparation, and relevant instructions have been given after meetings with taxi parks in connection with WUF13. Taking into account security measures, taxis will be available in the stadium's transport zone and at “Koroğlu” NMM. At the same time, pick-up and drop-off points for vehicles ordered by taxi order operators in connection with the event in the airport area have been designated in front of “Terminal 2”.
