On August 29, at about 17:00, the “Sheki” border detachment of the State Border Service’s Border Troops received information about a citizen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands needing help in the mountainous area of Bash Zeyzid village, Sheki district.

Modern.az reports that the State Border Service (SBS) released information about this.

According to the report, it was determined that Kramer Anne Hestler, a Dutch citizen born in 1979, who arrived in Azerbaijan on August 26 via the Frankfurt-Baku flight for tourism purposes, went on a hike in the mountainous area of Sheki district on the morning of August 29.

The tourist, moving in the direction of Chalangi highland of Bash Zeyzid village, was attacked by dogs and sustained various degrees of bodily injuries.

To evacuate the seriously injured person, the medical staff and rescue team of the service were immediately dispatched to the area by a helicopter of the Special Air Operations Forces Command of the State Border Service.

As a result of the urgent rescue operation carried out at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level, in dark weather conditions, and on difficult mountainous terrain,

the Dutch citizen, who suffered numerous open wounds to his head and p and was in a helpless state, received first aid from the medical staff of the State Border Service at the scene and was promptly transported by helicopter to Sheki District Central Hospital for emergency surgery.
