The Israeli leadership learned about the US's cancellation of the planned strike on Iran through President Donald Trump's post on the "Truth Social" platform.
Modern.az reports that Israel's N12 TV channel reported this, citing high-ranking sources.
It was stated that over the past 24 hours, Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, were in uncertainty about the situation. They learned about the US's refusal of the planned strike from Trump's post.
It was stated that initially, the Israeli side investigated whether this post was intended for disinformation or if there was a real change in Washington's policy. Later, the level of military readiness in the country was lowered.
According to sources, the sudden cancellation of the operation affected Israel's military planning. However, Israel believes that despite Trump's return to diplomatic efforts, the option of military action against Iran still remains on the agenda.
