In the second round of the presidential elections held in Brazil, the current head of state, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, won.
Modern.az reports that "Associated Press" spread information about this.
According to official results, Lula da Silva won approximately 51.76 percent of the votes, and his rival Flavio Bolsonaro won 48.24 percent.
Thus, the 80-year-old politician was elected president of Brazil for the fourth time.
It should be noted that although Bolsonaro was ahead in the first round of the elections, Lula managed to change the result in his favor in the second round. The results of the elections are considered an important event in terms of the balance of political forces in the largest country in Latin America.
Bolsonaro, on the other hand, protested the results and demanded the annulment of the vote.
